Møhlenpris is the part of Bergen that feels youngest and most in motion. A rare patch of flat, grid-planned streets in a famously hilly city, it sits wedged between the University of Bergen, the leafy Nygårdsparken and the Puddefjorden shoreline. Once industrial, it has filled with students and young creatives, and the cafes, kebab houses and small ethnic restaurants that have followed give it an easy, affordable energy that the prestige districts lack. The university next door is the engine of the investment case: it keeps demand for the district's period flats and studios high and vacancy low, supporting yields at the upper end of Bergen's modest range. The trade-off is reliance on the academic cycle, and after the city's near-10% price jump in 2025, value is harder to find. Norway's usual rules apply, no interest relief for non-residents and residency-based bank lending.
