About Jaro

Jaro is where Iloilo City keeps its soul. The largest district by population (136,274 people), known as the 'Mestizo Town' for its centuries-old association with wealthy Spanish-Filipino families. The Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral's Marian image was crowned by Pope John Paul II in 1981. Central Philippine University's 24-hectare campus brings youthful energy.
