Quba wraps around the Quba Mosque, the first mosque built in Islam, set on a sweeping 13,500-square-metre site a few kilometres south of the Prophet's Mosque. The district pairs that revered history with a genuine residential community, families, schools, local markets and a calmer pace than Medina's dense central core. Pilgrims come to pray at Quba, but the streets between visits belong to the people who live here. For investors, Quba is the residential counterpoint to the hospitality-heavy Central Area, with steady local-tenant demand. Yet it sits within Medina's Holy-City ownership restrictions, open to foreigners only through leasehold or company structures, and amid softening city-wide prices the realistic return is rental income rather than capital appreciation.
